Computer scammer with a very thick India type accent. Could barely understand him. Call says from Missouri. Told him not to call again, he wasn't doing anything with my computer 417-987-0943 = this was the 5th time he called our number. I don't know where he's getting our number from.
Scammer allegedly from Windows Technical Support in Atlanta (417-987-0943 is a Missouri number) told me that my PC was sending error messages and that Windows hired them to call me to remotely correct the problem. Male caller had a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent and was clearly calling from a Boiler Room probably outside the U.S. He attempted the Control+R scam to gain remote access to my PC. Strung him along as my PC was turned off at the time of the call. As call progressed he called me by name and told me I was the registered PC user. That's when I knew for certain that he got my number off a telephone data base as my phone is listed in a Bogus Name. When I called him out for being a liar and scammer he became enraged and cursed me, my family, etc. Hopefully his foreign employers beat him for failing to successfully complete his mission of stealing my ID and personal information. Remember the line in the 1973 James Bond movie Live and Let Die: "The person who kills Bond stays alive?"
Wife got this call 4 times in the last hour on her cell phone. Got somewhat worried as we have relatives in MO. Just checked the number here and see it is a scam. You sometimes wonder if their robo system knows things like where to spoof numbers that you will think are relatives to entice you to answer.
