They are a debt collector company. In accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, they're not allowed to disclose why they are calling for a person. They could get into trouble and end up paying more than they are trying to collect. That's why they say this call is being recorded. They need proof that they did not violate the law in trying to collect a debt. If you don't want them to call your number, you should just tell them to remove your name from their list because that person does not live there. They should comply and if they continue to try to collect by calling your number, they are breaking the law and could be held accountable for that as well. Receive a call from this number about every other week. They don't leave a message but I don't have any debt so I know it's not a collection agency. Have no idea who it is.
Just got a call from this number. It came up as UCB. The lady had an accent and asked to speak with my grandmother. I told her she wasn't here & the woman asked if I could take a message. She spewed her numbers off while I acted like I was writing them down. Then asked what the best number to reach my grandmother @would be. Then asked where she worked. When I told her my grandmother was retired she auto mattically hung up. Just goes to show if you don't have lot of money even the scammers won't mess with u.
They call my number looking for my very adult,daughter, living on her own. They asked me to take a message but when I asked who they were with they would not tell me. So I just told them "you don't give me information and I won't pass along any message". I called the number back UCB but the still would not tell what kind of company they are.
Just got a call from this number says UCB on my caller ID. I did not answer and no message. I am also worthless DNC list. Appears from the posts here that it is a collection agency of some sort. Funny I have received a few other collection related calls lately from other numbers that I did not answer. I do not owe anything past due. Looks like a skip trace for someone to me. Should be laws against behavior like this from [***] like this.
