Usual call from Microsoft Labs telling me they had detected a problem with my computer.
Asked me if I was the Owner and I said 'NO'.
Asked if he could speak to the owner and I said 'No, he 's at work'.
Answered 'OK' and hung up!!
I had a chat with this idiot....played along. Then asked for more information about ME.. since he knew so much about my computer. He asked for my husband.....who passed away just over a year ago. I told him I didn't appreciate the daily reminder of that and said I am filing harassment suit on my late husbands behalf. Click. I don't usually play along with them...but never raised my voice. Get a real job ya jerk.
Caller claimed they were with the windows service desk. Claimed that they were getting error messages from our computer when we used it for online shopping and regular browsing. I played along with him until he wanted me to press the windows button and r at the same time. Claimed he was going to read me my licence info after I did this. If I wasn't expecting a call I would have messed with this clown some more but I told him this was a scam and have a nice day. Then I hung up.
I got a call from this number this morning. I said hello and all I heard was heavyour breathing on the other end. I hung up and then the same person called again. I hung up.
Windows technical department, error messages, blah blah blah. Sometimes I play along, but wasn't in the mood today. It's hard to imagine anyone falling for this.
