They never actually sent you anything from a collection agency?? They keep calling me because I changed my card number so they couldnt take any money from me for two months and I actually answered today and was told after the third month they are sending it to collections. I have no way of receiving the letter anyway because i've moved since then but I really dont want that on my credit report if they do..
Yes you may think it will mess up your credit but if you close your account all together on them they cant get anything more from you. That account will be closed therefore you have no more payments to come out that you shouldnt be paying anyways cuz you asked for it to be cancelled. With the account being closed they cant have any money from it then. i have been getting these calls too but i do not answer them so they have no info from me and i am not going to answer these calls. Find out if there is a way to mail them and tell them you want it cancelled and let them know you been trying to cancel the order but they never answer.
Yes. I keep getting a call from this 952 number from Minnesota. I have a lady (Ann) tell me i get some free magazines of my choice and a $500 shopping spree and so on. They are from a company called Viking Magazine. Ann then told me her boss would be calling me in a few minutes after i hung up with her to verify my address and name. The Boss's name was supposedly Terri with an over seas accent. They told me i would only have to pay a one time fee of $14.90 handling fee. They have none of my personal info and Terri? asked me for the same thing (credit or debit card) info and i told them i dont have any money on any of those cards and did not give any info off of them. Dont give any info to them its just a scam.
I been receiving numerous calls from a company claiming to be from Viking Magazine in Minnesota. They will call my house number everyday all day long til they reach someone. I talked to a woman who claimed to be Ann and explained i been chosen to a $500 shopping spree and free magazines of my choice. All i would have to do is pay $14.90 shipping fee (one time charge). I would get free magazines and the shopping card within 5 days as they would receive the payment for shipping off my card. Ann then told me her boss would be calling me 5 to 10 minutes after i ended the call with her to verify my name, address, and telephone number. I then talked to a lady with a foreign accent claiming to be Terri the boss. She explained what i would be getting and how i will just "love" all this stuff. She claimed to have two children a daughter and a son both around my age and her being in her 50's. I am only 21. She claimed her son uses his shopping spree card all the time and just loves it and saves him SOOO much money. She then asked for my card number for the shipping but i told her i didnt have money on my card @ this time. She said ok when you get the money on the card call me back, have the card ready and well start the process to ship your stuff out to you. The number she gave me is 1-800-263-4146. I am not calling it.
Just got a call from this number this morning. Luckily with my job I deal with having to detect fraud calls a lot and I knew right away this was. I was sleeping and missed their call. I listened (they're actually calling me again right now) I listened to her voicemail and she spoke so fast with a corny southern accent saying I won the 1000 dollar shopping spree online. I called back for the hell of it and the same voice answered saying she was someone else. I said I had spoke with someone by the name of aubrey and she said i will have her call you back. haha. They are pathetic. dont fall for them.
cancel your card thats what i did. they do still call me. I was refunded my money at the bank because i canceled my debit card as soon as i hung up. i just reject their calls, and pick up an hang up on them. they are SCAMMERS. IM TELLING YOU cancel your card i havent paid them in 8 months and they have been telling me since the first month that they are "sending it to a collection agency" they cant they are a fraud. my advice is change your phone number. my mother said magizine companies cant put things on your credit report, they dont have the authority. i also moved so i wont get those magizines im not interested in and the stupid bill letters. CANCEL YOUR CARD GET A NEW ONE. just be really anoying on the phone tell them its in the mail, or you have the wrong number when they call back say o im sorry i lost connection. lol
