A woman called my wife's cell phone, identified herself as Susan Brown. Had a thick east Indian accent. Was very intimidating, said she was from the IRS and we were being audited. She specifically threatened to seize our house, cars, bank accounts and passports for unpaid taxes. My wife has anxiety issues on top of serious health problems so this kind of bottom feeder crook really makes me angry.
I got a recording call that I needed to call this number immediately. Of course, I did not, and looked up the number first. I will have this investigated before calling since I think it may be a prank or a crook trying to get my SS.
This call happened at 11:41 am on April 12, 2016 and left a message for me to call immediately.
Got the same message on my phone "I am from the IRS, you must call before we take action". I always check these numbers out. The IRS does not call and threaten you
I got a message today to call this number from a audio recorder saying the name is officer Mickey Johnson with the IRS. I did call the number and guy with a thick accent said he will call me back, didn't get any info from me but he's not in right now. I know for certain I don't owe the IRS money so it didn't freak me out, but the fact that it's more than likely a scammer I'll give him a piece of my mind.
