More of the annoying constant daily calls since Oct 2014. I haven't posted in a while so I figure I'd do a year-end list since my last post on Nov 23. The number of scam calls I've received is ridiculous, I get as many as 20 a day now, TWENTY (I'm not displaying calls with no numbers here, I get a few of those too). How many hundreds of calls do I need to get before it is considered harassment? Phone company won't do anything about it, they want to sell me more overpriced crap. I'll probably be switching to a VoIP service soon so I can have control over my line without getting ripped off.
Anyway, here's the nightmare of calls. By the way, I don't owe anyone money, I've never had a student loan, I've never done business with "Conn's" or "SALLIE MAE", these calls are pure BS. And they never leave a message when they manage to get the voice mail:

I don't know how much more I'll be posting, I think this list gives the idea and I simply can't keep up with it anymore. I bought a new Panasonic phone that allows 250 blocked numbers and you can set it to not ring on the first ring before it blocks, which has helped save my sanity (I'm not posting the model number here so this isn't considered spam, but it's easy to find with a search).
The debt collection network that is preying on alleged debtors their relatives, friends, and others is under Department of Education. I hate to say it, but it is legit....at least for me it was.
It was Best Buy credit card, but they did not leave me a message either.
I looked up the number here, and some posts indicated that it was Best Buy card services. Well, I started thinking.....and CRAP....I didn't remember making my last payment. I logged into the Best Buy manage your account, and YEP...BAM!! Missed my last payment. I looked through all my statements, and mail, and I did not get my last bill. Yes, I still rely on snail mail, and I have a system. However, if the bill does not come, that is the Achilles heal of my system. Most of the time I remember, but CRAP!!! not this time.
The worst part of it is, because I missed that payment, my interest free period on a TV purchase is now in jeopardy.
I got hit with a $25 late fee, but this interest free deal is what bothers me.
Anyway, I wish they (Best Buy card) would have left a message instead of me looking at this 800 notes. I guess that is how they make their money....in late fees and cancelled interest free periods...which .....mother flipper...I owe all the past interest of the free period because I messed up and forgot a payment. Not even 30 days later either...CRAP!!!
