Have had two calls today in an hour from CITI.
They are calling for another person who does
not have a CITI card. It is a recording. We
are on the Do Not Call List. They do not
leave a message.
Unless the purpose of the call is to get whomever they are calling for to apply for a CITI card, it does not break the DNC rules. BTW, CITI is the actual bank behind a lot of branded credit cards like Best Buy, Sears and a lot of other store cards. So if the person they are calling for has a card that is serviced by CITI, they need to call the number on their card and determine why they are getting calls. They should also update their contact info to not use your number, if appropriate.
Receiving calls from 423-467-6125. They have called four times today. It shows CITI on my caller id. They do not leave a message. Knowing I do not owe anything to anybody, I called the customer support number on the back of my CITI card. CITI confirmed this is NOT one of their numbers and I should block this number.
I am now getting these calls too! Many times a day, not leaving messages, but one, which is looking for a Russel, someone. I think there is an FBI website, to post these scam numbers, but I don't know what it is. If someone knows it, please post it. Thank you.
