The name comes up unavailable. I answer and never say anything. After a few seconds it hangs up.
Normally when I get a name unavailable I never answer.
I got this call twice today. with a wierd long number. git it the first time no one answered. second time didnt bother answering. if they call cagain im cursing their [***]
I am trying Mapson4's suggestion of recording the disconnected tones on my answering machine. It has only been a few days but it appears to be working well. Here is a copy of what the suggestion.
One suggestion to make them stop is to place the phone not in service tones at the beginning of your answering machine message. The pause for 3 seconds and then give your message. The tones will tell the robo-dialer that this is not a working number and delete it. It may take a few weeks for this to work through all the different spammers who are calling.
