Just block them. It is a scam robocall that is programmed for voice recognition. I wanted to see if it would put a live person on by giving confusing answers to the machine. Instead it jumped past its programmed listings of points and right to asking me how much I wanted to donate. Still have no idea who they are. The machine just hung up instead of getting a live person.
Called 01MAR2015 at 5:30 PM. Caller ID indicated "Los Angeles CA". I never answered, however, they never hung up and after a while I got the 'handset off hook' alert. Had to unplug the line and then plug it back in to disconnect. They're now blocked.
Caller didn’t leave a message on my machine and the caller id said “ACALIFORNIAPAL” which must be a scammer. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 types of traces and all were completely blocked. No person or business name, no general location(State, Country, City etc.) and no service providers, however the area code is for Los Angeles, California. This is the worse kind of scammer that is probably operating from a foreign country and running scams (Donations for Veterans, IRS Tax Collector, Debt Collector etc.) all under the caller id of “ACALIFORNIAPAL”. DO NOT ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK. Block and report to the proper authorities.
