I have these people calling me all the time. They try to tell me that I have a renewal coming up on magazines that I supposedly ordered two years ago and that I have an outstanding balance on my account. I have never gotten a bill from them. They tell me that the payment comes directly out of my checking account associated with the card number I gave them. I tell them that I have never had any amount come out of my account for magazines subscriptions. They ask for my new card number so that they can verify that it is me requesting to cancel the magazine subscriptions. I refused to give them this information and they get irate with me. Maybe it is time to contact the Federal Trade Commission or the BBB.
Had these idiots call me four times in a span of 3 minute. I'd hang up each time but the last I picked up and told them that not only did I know they were scamers, that if they called again that I'd notify the FBI. They didn't try to push their luck. Caller ID shows Hawthorne, CA.

These guys are trying to scam. They called me yesterday saying they're a magazine company and asking if I want to not have my subscription automatically renewed for another 5 years and that that money would come out of my checking account.
I don't have any kind of magazine subscription that's on automatic renewal for 5 years.
They also asked if I like Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card better for a "survey"?
I'm nervous about these people.
They transferred me over to someone and she asked the expiration date on my "Visa" card because I said that in the "survey." I told her I didn't have my wallet and she sounded very upset and hung up the phone.
Hopefully they don't try to take all my money but beware or just don't answer. Scammers
The callers say they want to make sure I am receiving my magazines on time. They cannot even tell me what magazines I get. They want my SS # to assure that the magazines get renewed. They are definitely scamming.
