I have these people calling me all the time. They try to tell me that I have a renewal coming up on magazines that I supposedly ordered two years ago and that I have an outstanding balance on my account. I have never gotten a bill from them. They tell me that the payment comes directly out of my checking account associated with the card number I gave them. I tell them that I have never had any amount come out of my account for magazines subscriptions. They ask for my new card number so that they can verify that it is me requesting to cancel the magazine subscriptions. I refused to give them this information and they get irate with me. Maybe it is time to contact the Federal Trade Commission or the BBB.
After receiving a call from this number, I was not surprised to find a mailbox full of magazines that men would find interesting. Someone out there thinks I'm a dude and a sports fanatic. I blocked the number. I ordered 1 magazine a couple of years ago, and this has been occurring ever since. Whatever information this company may have vis-a-vis financial information has been closed or cancelled. I've never been billed, but I do wonder who's eating the cost of the subscriptions.
A different phone numbered called today, so off I go to post a similar complaint about that.
