I have these people calling me all the time. They try to tell me that I have a renewal coming up on magazines that I supposedly ordered two years ago and that I have an outstanding balance on my account. I have never gotten a bill from them. They tell me that the payment comes directly out of my checking account associated with the card number I gave them. I tell them that I have never had any amount come out of my account for magazines subscriptions. They ask for my new card number so that they can verify that it is me requesting to cancel the magazine subscriptions. I refused to give them this information and they get irate with me. Maybe it is time to contact the Federal Trade Commission or the BBB.
We received call from this number at 7:11pm [our time] but did not answer, we never do w/unknown numbers & no message was left. We called number back out of curiousity, what unprofessional business is calling people's private numbers that late at night, after their own business hours & an automated system answered stating their normal hours of operation are from 10:30a-6pm EST, so another red-flag is if they're from Hawthorne, California than why are they giving eastcoast times of operation? I pressed two, to remove us from list, but if that fails, they're now on our blocked list and never permitted contacting us again. I'm greatly relieved, having read some of your experiences. Sincerely hope one-of-you, if not all reported them to FBI and/or some higher agency of their scamming practice.
Found the below •callbot• recording on link under this page's link via google search, after finished posting feedback above. It's the exact same automated greeting message we received when called this number back.
