This robocaller phoned again today. True to form, the caller left no message when the call migrated to voice mail. It's the automated dialer at work, trolling from victims and their money. Never answer a call from numbers like this.
This call came in just as neighbor's employees arrived. They operate an illegal construction business in a residential neighborhood. Often the trucks in their driveway have no license plates displayed. If we all take this to the police, maybe the owners and their work crews will be deported.
A call purporting to originate from this number was received again today -- surprising since it is the first one since Nov. 13 from this particular number. As was the case previously, When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This behavior is characteristic of robocallers using automated dialers to contact phone numbers in numerical sequence. If a real person answers, the automated dialer transfers the call (after a few seconds delay) to a live telemarketer to start the sales or charity pitch. Both for-profit and non-profit telemarketers are equal opportunity scammers.
Scam artists love using prefixes such as 311, 411, 511, 711, 811, and 911 when sppofing phone numbers. I've received robocalls from all of them. DON'T BECOME THEIR NEXT VICTIM. DON'T ANSWER THEIR CALLS.
