This robocaller phoned again today. True to form, the caller left no message when the call migrated to voice mail. It's the automated dialer at work, trolling from victims and their money. Never answer a call from numbers like this.
'Tammy Soft' from B&G Construction called me looking to give a free estimate for contractor work. I asked her if they were licensed in the State of California as a contractor. She said they are, and when they show up, they will bring three references. I asked for their contractors license number. She said her uncle is the contractor, and 'he is out in the field.' I asked if she had one of his business cards, because she could get his license number off of it. She said her uncle has all of the business cards, but when he comes out to give an estimate, he would show the license. I told her I had a concern; while she was talking to me, I dialed the number that showed up on my caller ID, and it was not a working number. I told her that spoofing phone numbers is illegal and that she was committing a criminal offense. She claimed the number was not being faked. I asked if the reason they use a fake phone number in the caller ID and refuse to give their contractors license number is because they are illegal telemarketing. She said they are not, and that she is not telemarketing, she is appointment setting for a free estimate. I then asked for her company's actual phone number. She said, 'you know what,' and hung up. In my humble opinion, this is probably a contractor that has had his license revoked, hence the refusal to give the license number, and reliance on showing a license in person, which may or may not actually be valid. I say you should talk to them at length, set an appointment, and then not answer the door when they come knocking.
Yet another unwanted call from this spoofed number arrived today, less than 6 weeks since the March 16 attempt by this scam contractor. As was the case previously, When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message.
Poster Dick Hammer (see above) has identified this caller as B&G Construction, a firm that is probably operating without a valid contractor's license. The company is hiding behind an invalid (and non-working) number, according to www.411.com
Scam artists love using prefixes such as 311, 411, 511, 711, 811, and 911 when sppofing phone numbers. I've received robocalls from all of them. DON'T BECOME THEIR NEXT VICTIM. DON'T ANSWER THEIR CALLS.
The caller, California ( displayed as ID on our phone. ), called us 2nd time @ 11:03 A.M., 04.30.2015, I was not home. I returned home and returned the call hiding mu number. The message to me: " This number is not in service. " It called us 1st time, 12:46, noon, 01.22.2015.
It used 424-511-4521 to call us & area code (714), ( 310) ...etc. to call people for house remolding.

The caller, LA BUILDERS, called us again @ 09:55, A.M. 04.22.2015 for 3rd time. When I returned the call hiding my number a young man's message:" You are call is very important to us, please wait for the next agent." after 4 or 5 second, It was cut off twice, not as before", try later.". It also used 424-511-4521 to call.
According www.800notes. this number has been used to call people randomly since12.06.2014.
I'' report it to www.fcc.gov/complaints.com again.

Wake up folks - STOP ANSWERING THESE CRIMINAL CALLS!!!
If no one answered, they would be out of business in a heartbeat!
Our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in!
