I got one like this too, a few minutes ago, but I don't think his accent was Hindi. Man, I wish scammers would call me more often! That was hilarious! He didn't even get as far as telling me about the processing fee before he realized I was just stringing him along to waste his time, said "I get it now, f*** you," and hung up. Oh well.
Call from this number - woman with heavy accent said I has $9k in tax free money available to me - for a processing fee. Told her I knew she was a scammer and hung up on her. Suggest you so the same.
A man with a UK accent call me saying it was calling from the United States Department of Grants, I interrupted him to repeat what he just said and then I ask him why was he calling me, he continue blabbing for about 3 seconds and then the phone began beep beep beep.
He probably didn't like my tone of voice so he decided no to waist time with me.
I received a call from 425 206 2909 saying call from united states department of treasury,,,,and asking my name,,,with stupid women voice then she hang up
A man with a heavy Hindi accent told me that I have been selected for a grant of $9K. I can get it for a fee as long as I didn't use it for drugs. Told him that that was exactly what I would use it for. Said "well, I don't have to know..." I told him that he already knew and he hanged up.
