I got one like this too, a few minutes ago, but I don't think his accent was Hindi. Man, I wish scammers would call me more often! That was hilarious! He didn't even get as far as telling me about the processing fee before he realized I was just stringing him along to waste his time, said "I get it now, f*** you," and hung up. Oh well.
Basically a scam telling you that you've been picked to receive a $9,000 government grant because you pay you bills and taxes on time (wouldn't that be nice.) They beat around the bush saying they will transfer you to an associate who will assist with getting you the money, but the guy asked me several times what I'd use it for. I told him none of his business. I knew it was a scam all along...he was hard to understand, and when I said to send me a check, and that I wouldn't give him any personal info, he literally said "F*ck You" 3 times and hung up. Hysterical.
Same scam here. Woman with heavy accent claiming to be from US Govt. Offering $9,000 government grant because I pay my bills on time and do not have a bankruptcy record. I said that I appreciated the offer but it sounded too good to be true - and she hung up. Blocking that number.
