Got that call from 425 291 8405 on (MY CELL PHONE)obviously at an inoportune time.
From what I can tell they get these tel nos. from who knows where, people in distress (mortgage or credit cards).
An automated tape Said something about a government pogram to help out.
HOWEVER, WHAT REPUTABLE COMPANY does not even answer when you call back, leave a message or or or..........
I guess it beats talking to some schmuck in India (calling you, I've had that too) fishing for a possible sucker for who knows what
Called on my cell phone with recorded message something like, "We are calling regarding your credit card balance. Your payments are not overdue but we urgently need to talk to you about saving money blah blah blah. Press one to speak to a representative now." Just for chuckles I pressed one and got one of their highly competent salespeople. He said that my payment on my Visa OR MasterCard was not overdue. I asked him which card - he replied that both were fine. I told him I had a Visa or MasterCard but not both and which was he referring to. He replied by asking what my balance was and I told him I don't give that out over the phone and if he was calling from my bank he should know what the balance is . "Click" - he hung up. Called the number back and took my number off of their marketing list. Slimy marketing scam.
