Got that call from 425 291 8405 on (MY CELL PHONE)obviously at an inoportune time.
From what I can tell they get these tel nos. from who knows where, people in distress (mortgage or credit cards).
An automated tape Said something about a government pogram to help out.
HOWEVER, WHAT REPUTABLE COMPANY does not even answer when you call back, leave a message or or or..........
I guess it beats talking to some schmuck in India (calling you, I've had that too) fishing for a possible sucker for who knows what
Call started with recording "this is Rachel from credit card services; nothing wrong with your account...' same line as many times before. saying the can save you money on credit card debt. dial 1 to be connected to a live operator. I have told LIVe to take me off the list and asked why they do not honor the do not call list. Jerks. etc. they will call back. They are not affiliated with any card you have! they can not tell you anything about your accounts.
Same here. I'm not going to waste time reporting them to the AG since it's clearly both a scam and they've obtained the numbers from someone because my phone is a telephone number through Google/Yahoo voice so it's not a listed number anywhere however the one number is a Washington state number. So, I'm reporting tot he Washington State AG

RECORDING FROM "RACHEL" ABOUT LOWERING MY INTEREST RATE. PRESS ONE AND YOU CONNECT WITH AN 'AGENT'. I AM GETTING 5 - 10 CALLS ON MY CELL PHONE A DAY! I DON'T GIVE OUT MY CELL PHONE # SO HOW DID THEY GET IT? I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE ALL IN A MEETING. I ASK HOW THEY GOT MY CELL PHONE NUMBER AND THEY HANG UP ON ME. THE LAST CALL THE GUY SAID HE WOULD TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST AND SAID I MUST BE MISTAKEN, I MUST BE GETTING CALLS FROM OTHER COMPANIES TOO. I TOLD HIM THIS EXACT NUMBER 425-291-8404 COMES UP EVERY TIME AND THE RECORDING FROM RACHEL - NO RESPONSE. HE ABRUPTLY HUNG UP WHILE I WAS ASKING HOW THEY GOT MY CELL PHONE NUMBER. WHERE IS THE FCC IN ALL THIS?
Recieved 5th call from this number today around 6pm. Have asked each previous live individual to remove me. Obviously that does not work. Today (for second time) I asked to speak to supervisor. After about 15 rings young man answered and went thru usual questions about what I had done previously. Then he told me he could "pull down my zipper and let my ball hang out. And when my balls are hanging out you can juggle them." I am reporting this to the Washington AG also. Maybe if enough people turn things like this over to the state AG's then they MIGHT actually do something.
