Started getting these calls yesterday afternoon.
Never have gotten these calls before.
Yesterday morning, I went online and updated my contact information for 3 credit cards.
Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and HSBC.
That afternoon I start getting calls on that new number for Credit relief.
Something smells fishy there.
On the second call, I pressed 1 to talk to someone.
Asked who he represented.
He just answered that he was calling on behalf of all visa and mastercard issuers.
After asking for information to be emailed to me, he said he could not do that.
Then after requesting to have my number removed from his call list for the 4th time, he end the call with a smart [***] comment.
I received a call from this number 425-291-8410. They identified themselves as "Account Services" and promised to lower my interest rate on my Chase Visa account. When I asked for further information about the company, they got defensive---and assured me that transactions with them were protected by the federal government. What's the deal?
HERE IS HOW TO STOP THIS CALL:
I decided to answer a call from this number today. It was a recording about lowering the intersest rate on my credit cards. Somehow I had to patience to listen to the whole message. At the end it said to press 1 to talk to a representitive or 2 to be removed from the call list. I pressed "2" and have not been called back since.
