I received a call on 8/26/2014 from an Anaheim telephone number: 714.294.5246. A very poor spoken 'man' who mubmled the entire message said I had 24 hours to call 425-298-3923 to give a statement on a legal matter before they were going to issue a judgement/garnish wages. He said when I called back I was to ask for "Richard." Yeah, sure. Ok... They didn't even address my name. They provided a 'case' number.
Within the past few months I've recevied numerous calls from different numbers saying I owed a debt. I'm on top of my credit reports like white on rice. I've done a lot of different research on these scam numbers and from what I gather, if you have every applied for payday loan, those payday loans are selling information. Either that, or their information has been hacked
I also received a call from 425-298-3923 they first called from 910-216-2362.. stating same bs that I owed them money then started cursing me.. so I know that the police will do anything about it. So i started harassing the scammers.. I call them EVERY single day 3 times a day and aggravate them til they hang up on ME!
I got the same phone call from Richard, stating I have 24 hours to respond to a claim being filed against me. This is a scam, I know I have not done anything illegal or have any outstanding bills. Don't give them your social security number or money!
