Had a message left this afternoon (automated voice) saying I had an outstanding debt to IRS and a lien would be placed against me. 425-374-1349 was the number I was to call and refer to a batch number. I immediately went online to check knowing I do not owe IRS anything. But another person may not and could give them private info...like their SS #. DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO ON THE PHONE OR TO STRANGERS. If they are legit...they won't ask for it.
I received the same call as Seriouslady. This call originates in Everett, Washington. It IS NOT from the IRS but from a company called Level 3 Communications, LLC.
This is a fake, they just called my work general line with this garbage. The IRS ALWAYS sends a letter, and several of them usually before they hop to threats about liens on your money. If somebody calls out of the blue about being the IRS, they are liars.
SCAM ALERT!!. Received on 9-18-2015. I got a call as well just now from 9-000-102-8373. Automated computer generated female voice claiming to be the IRS wanting me to call them back with the same message described by "Seriouslady". They wanted me to call them back on 425-374-1349. Agent badge # 94290.
I appreciated this website and everyone who truthfully reports scammers here to protect the general public from these bad people.
