I got a robocall and press 1 to reach a live rep. I'm on the Do Not Call Registery and I wanted to find out the name of the company. The person said he was calling from the Mortgage Relief Center. I asked for his name and number and muttered and then hung up. I was able to trace the number through the call id history and I filed a complaint to the FCC. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I also provided FCC the link to this site to show that this is a problem and the company needs to be shut down!
called my cell phone and there was a recorded message: said I had a civil action being filed against me, and something about a restraining order and I would have to appear, there is a call back number,, although they didnt give it to me. provided a case number, asked that i forward the information on to my attorney! the last time one of these called me I ALMOST FELL FOR IT! Thank GOD i didnt i would be out W$700!!
I just got a call from them. They said they were from a student loan company. I called the number back and got an FCC automated system to have my phone number removed. Said it would take 24-72 hours.
