I got a call from this number the other day. It came up on my caller ID as DIRECTV and since we're DIRECTV customers, I answered it thinking we forgot to pay the bill or something, but it was one of those [***] calls about reducing credit card debt.
They tell you to press 1 if you want on the DNC list. If you just sit there, the message repeats: no sales person comes on, nothing. If you press any other number, the "message" gets interrupted and they repeat it. Pressing 1 doesn't put you on the DNC list. It triggers a hang-up response from their machine but wants you to THINK they are following the law about DNC and not report them. It's a big scam.
you sound like you work for the scammers. instead of worrying about how people are getting scammed and offering
helpful suggestions you try to confuse the subject at hand with trying to trash talk a poster who was at least trying
to help people.
slim ___ unless you have suggestions that help people stop these scammers ( your employers ) then why don't you
remain silent. personally I found the info that the person writing in caps was offering ;;; quite useful.
