WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
They called me for the same reason, but then wanted me to give them my credit card number and they never even addressed me y name or could give me my address. I declined and asked them not to call me again. They then called me back twice from different numbers.
Same experience - asked for my card number to lower my rate and when I challenged them, we went in circles. Definitely not legitimate -- I would not give them any information.
Received the same call saying since I've had on time payments they would could reduce my APR to 6%. They asked for the exp date for my card but I told them to call me back in a few hours so I could get my card. I called the CC company and asked if the call came from their office and they assured me it did not. I missed the call back 3 times but as soon as they call me I will let them know that I called the CC company and that they said it was not from their office.....
I just received a phone call from them. The connection between my phone and their's was bad so they called me on through another phone number, 215-227-7571. They said the same line as everyone else and then when I asked them what the name of their company was called they hung up. I called back the number and I got an answering machine saying that if I wanted to go on the do not call list to press one and that it would take up to 72 hours to get off their calling list. I googled the phone number and couldn't get a name for the "company" that called me.
