just got a call .we also screen calls thru ans.machine.scam calls are disgusting especially when you are expecting a call from loved ones.fibromyalgia and degenerative joint disease among others are very trying.people in pain will grasp at relief but we are not brain dead yet
This # is obviously a phishing scam. There is no legitimate medical organization with the name they give as sponsoring their call. No legitimate medical organization would go about marketing treatments this way.
Block their calls if you can. Ignore them. Report them to the office of the Attorney General of your state.
Different number, same old scam for pain cream. Id stated "alert", recording said don't hang up this is not a sales call. Dial 1 to confirm delivery. No charge...but your insurance info is needed. Yea right! To my knowledge this is the third number for this operation.
Called this morning at 9:42 am. Caller ID simply read, "ALERT". My answering machine picked up. No message was left. I don't know who they are, or what they want. But I wish that they would stop calling. I recall receiving other nuisance calls in the past with the same caller ID. So maybe they are disguising themselves under a different number. Annoying, as always.
I answered and spoke with "David". The caller ID showed the phone number 458-201-1156 and the name "Alert". A recorded message said that they had a new EXPERIMENTAL pain relief cream that could be used instead of narcotics; press 1 to arrange for delivery, press 5 to notify your health care company that you refused delivery. I pressed 1 and was greeted by David. I asked him where he got information to make him believe I was using narcotics for pain. He said that health care carriers like BC/BS (and he named some others I don’t recall) notify them. I told him that it was illegal for health care companies to share my health information unless I gave them permission. He then hung up. These people should be arrested. Who knows what kind of dangerous (or probably useless) compounds they are pushing.
