Apparently, just another scammer, since no message was left when they called. If it was a legitimate person doing legitimate business, they would have left a message and requested a return telephone call. That did not happen!
Told me something about Windows and corrupted files. Wanted to know if I was at my computer. Told him I wouldn't do anything without asking my son. He hollered at me "I said are you at your computer!" I hung up. What a creep!
Just received a call from a man indicating my windows version was corrupted and sending messages.... blah blah blah. anyway I asked his Name: "Jordan Johnson" and his company which I could not make out, then I asked for a phone number that I could call to verify the legitimacy of this call, he hung up the phone.
Anyway this is a obvious phone scam as he want me to go to my computer and he would show me where to click to show me where the infected part of the computer was.... and most likely open access or release control of my machine or go to a site and download a nasty virus.
Got a call saying that they were from Microsoft and that they were getting alerts that my computer was downloading unauthorized harmful virus. Indian accent and sounds of a call center in the background. I played dumb momentarily. I stated that I didn't have any computers that were currently on. Started to ask me some questions. I asked him who he was again to which he replied "That's what I'm asking, who is this?" directed to me. After repeating this loop about 3 times I realized that he was willing to go all day so I hung up.
