I just had this missed call on my work line. Glad I was not in the office to pick up. I am wondering if this is the scam where they just want you to say yes, as JessicaP referenced above. http://www.omaha.com/money/this-phone-scam-ju ... 0657f1c1c0.html
Received a call from this number today at the office. They asked for the boss by his first name, I have two, so I asked which one. He said he needed the managing director. His accent was very difficult to understand but when I started asking questions he said he was Dr. Ward and this was a reminder call. When I asked for more information, he hung up. Positive this is some sort of scam.
I got a call at work from this number from someone at the National Medical Center. A non-American sounding male asked my name and when I said yes he hung up. I'll report this number to the FCC since it seems to be consistent according to the other very recent comments here.
I experienced the same situation. I had a call transferred to me from the receptionist at work, the man asked if I was "my name", I said yes and he disconnected. He didn't say where he was calling from or anything. Scammers, no doubt.
