Leaving messages claiming they are with the IRS and to return call to prevent any further action. When number is called back, the phone just rings and no one answers. No voice mail either.
Received call from 469.304.9862 on 11/25/14 @ 2:49pm. Caller ID reflected as unknown. I have answered a couple of their calls in the past, verified I was not the debtor (Patty Rice) they were attempting to collect from and asked them to update their records accordingly. Additionally, I advised the CSR that my phone number is listed in the White pages and if they would do their due diligence prior to attempting to call, they would realize the number is not their intended target and also at a different physical address. I have been reassured repeatedly that their records would be updated and my number removed from the record. Lies, lies and more lies. When I reported them, I received a lame response from Feds. POS.
Patty Rice - pay your damn bills!! Fed - enforce the dam laws. I am on the Do Not Call registry and sick and tired of getting unsolicited calls from all types of businesses and scammers.
They called me, and didn't leave a message. I called back, and the rep that answered was very courteous. I told her that I had received a call from the number, but was on another call and couldn't answer, so I was calling back to see what they wanted. She said she was trying to reach somebody (not me), and I told her (truthfully) that I've had this phone number for only three months, and that the person she's trying to reach is probably someone who had the number previously. I assured her that I didn't know the person they were trying to reach, and she said that she'd remove the number from their database.
It seems to me that it would be a common occurrence for people who don't pay their bills to change phone numbers. If they continue to call me, then I will change my review, but it seemed like an honest mistake to me.
