Well ladies and Gents I also worked at HP Locate which was most definitely a legitimate business!! First of all the business started only 2 years ago so they are actually still workin out a few kinks. BUT as far as the work that was done, Just because u feel like its harassment Does Not mean it is!! There are rules and protocols that are followed! If they said you couldnt call friends, relatives, neighbors, etc.... then we wouldnt have! As for the agent who called at 2am That 1 agent was wrong and im more than sure fired! That was 1 person who broke the rules not the entire company. This Erik R person was standing up for the company in the first post when he was still working there, but it seems like after u lost ur job is when u got on here and started down talking the company? STILL UPSET HUH? LOL! Get over it! And as was said they have the right to call whom ever is listed in the national database as a possible contact for the person they r looking for. Every1 does not always update their information so if you receive a call thats for some1 u dont know simply tell them that. I dont know that person please dont call me again. Simple as that! But at the same time with my experience when i was there im sure i spoke with over 100 people who said they were not the person we were looking for but in fact were. When this happens guess what we have to invalidate your actual number and try to get in contact with u thru others. And for the fam and friends who want to be nosey and find out what it is before actually helping out make it harder on us and themselves. WE CAN NOT RELEASE ANY1S PRIVATE INFO TO JUST ANY1! THAT IS Y THEY HAVE TO VERIFY THAT THEY ARE SPEAKING WITH THE CORRECT PERSON. HP Locate is simply a Locating company not a debt collector. They locate people, Thats the damn job!! Heritage Pacific is the company that HP Locate comes from and they are the actual collectors. Do ur homework!!
Called my work and stated they were a vehicle located service. I work at a dealership by the way.
Ended up being a bill collector after they put me on hold for a while.
Received too many to count over the last 2-3 weeks from this number and many other strange numbers on my cell phone. THey claim to be a private investigator from HP Located and they are looking for my father. They have also called my husbands cell phone and many of my neighbors. Each time they leave a generic name with an 800 number to call back, I did try a few times to call and it rings once and then I receive dead air.
Have got 3 left message calls a day from at least 6 different numbers and the message changes every time they have used the private investigator angle and said I must call with 24 hrs. Have a feeling a class action law suit will be filled soon against them.Not giving them any info at all.

Contact Clark Howard, your attorney general or your lawyer, these people are engaging in illegal activities. record all conversations.. HP Locate Do you know how many attorney who would love to have these cases. Sue them in oblivion.
