I received a call on my cell phone from number: 214-496-2580. They asked if I was "responding to the lower your credit card interest call" -- I instead asked how they got my number. They hung up immediately.
Called around 8:30pm, usual recorded message about lowering credit card interest rates. Have to speak to someone right now as this is the last offer. Pushed 8 to be removed from call list, invalid key, got message again, pushed 9 to speak to an agent. after listening to her message I told her I was on the "NO CALL" list, she said that it didn't apply beacause they were not selling anything. Found out that if you do not hang up it holds the line open and they have to get a tech to disconnect. She was quite annoyed that I wouldn't hang up. I kept the line open for at least a half hour, oh well no bonus for her this week.
same as everyone here -- robot voice offering 6% interest, with broken "press 8" option, talked to a woman who said it was "card services" and then hung up on me. I have normal old-fashioned phone service. don't have caller id so can't verify the caller's number.
I got the call too and when I pressed "9" "Mona" answered and I asked what company this was. She was very rude and I told her so and she said that *I* was rude for interrupting her lunch. I asked for her number and she gave me an 800 number that was sexual in nature. These people are slime.
I received two calls from them ("Card Services") in the past 2 or 3 weeks. I also had the same experience with the "press 8" option "was not recognized".
Might as well cut and paste. I press #9 and played along...then when I asked what company this was...they hung up.
