They have called several times in the past year each time I tell them that there is nothing wrong with my computer and the guy goes well your not a computer technician so how do you know. being as I am a computer technician I can tell you that there is nothing wrong and that they do not work for Microsoft. they are calling from 4695550174
Caller (with Indian accent) claimed to be from Windows Technical Support. This is a pure scam. They try to get you to go to a website. This gives them control of your PC where they can load who knows what. Most likely identity thief, looking for passwords, accounts, etc. Just hang up on them. Don't engage in any conversation. By the way the caller ID showed the name field as the letter "V" followed by a string of numbers. I assume the caller ID number is random. So any call with a name that is similar to some combination of letters/numbers is probably the same thing.
Got a call from this 469-555-0174, stating they were from Microsoft Tech Support. Was having a computer remoted to at the time BY Microsoft, but realized this was not the people I was doing business with. On no call lists, will probably report this to our Attorney General because he is a go getter on people who violate the no-call list. Their CID name was just "TEXAS CALL". Hung up on the Indian.
