Received the same call - ID said it was a Richard Williams but the message( broken English) said his name was Steve Martin... yeah right. Same topic regarding a federal offense and charges pending - how can we stop these idiots from doing this to people. So much for the no call list..
Get even with these people. Put an ad on Craig's List with a boat or something for a great price and leave their number. I do this with anyone who calls me with these scams. Hilarious enough they tried to post a separate ad saying my ad was a fake, how ironic. I wouldn't even found the second ad if I wasn't just searching though all of them. My guess is they've received 100 of calls and will probably have to change their number.
I have received no less than 10 phone calls in the past 30 days from this jerk with the broken english. He has used 2 different company names that he is from one a private law firm and the other ??? cant remember. I have never spoke with him. I did save a couple of his messages in case he ever gets nailed. Yesterday I received a new message about taxes but this time it was a recorded womans voice with no accent named Officer Julie Smith from the IRS stating I am in serious trouble regarding back taxes and to call her immediatley or they will take legal action. She said I must call her on the IRS hot line 415-506-1663. I guess the jerk above got the messages about his poor language and his broken english. I don't understand why the phone company can't nail them if they have their numbers.
Same scam, male, Indian accent, broken English, claiming to be calling about enforcement action by the US Treasury. Call originated from 818-627-9146. The call back number was 469-567-9492. They also call from 619-752-8641. Obvious scam. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. Report them to the FCC, FTC, and the IRS Inspector General for Tax Administration.

Caller identified himself as Steve Martin. Stated that it was in my best interest to cooperate. I look forward to him calling back. I plan to tell him that I have notified authorities in Texas who advised me that they are investigating this group with the help of the FBI.
