Just tell these [***] you know someone at the FCC or IRS or some other agency and in fact there's an investigation on them, and he;s the one going to jail, and hang up.
SCAM!! Have you noticed they don't say your name in their recorded message?! That's because they don't know who you are. We got several calls from this number and also from 209-992-5739 with a message from the same person the SAME DAY. Mind you - THIS number is out of TX and 209 is out of CA. This is the worst kind of scam, playing on people's fear. Even if you're in debt -DON'T return this call and DON'T give these clowns any personal information.
Got a call today, same as most of the above calls; except the name was changed. At first I thought it was a moslim .... on the answering machine; then, I realized it didn't have an arabic accent. I thought it might be moslims trying to get money out of Americans to buy more swords. Or maybe, a hidden moslim cell group in Texas. I didn't call back; as, it's either spam, or a phishing; so, I don't know the company name. I'll put the name given to me where it ask that. Calling back would tell the them they called a valid American phone number.
I already posted. This reminds me of a guy at work a few years back who sent $1,200 to a "Russian Bride" to come to America. After that, she (he?) wanted $1,200 more for her (his?) "mum" to come to America with him! We never let that guy out live this, and kept reminding him, except for a photo on the internet, he never say hide nor hare of his "Russian Bride". If anyone is dumb enough to even call back to 469-567-9492, the joke will be on you !!!
Wasn't there a famous movie star named "Steve Martin" ??? And he had an American accent ????
