Its not the case.....when a payday loan place takes a check they know its not good. They can try to take you to court. It is civil. Unless its a title loan then its different matter. I bet you work for one of these companies
Sending me text messages from several different numbers asking for permission to call regarding debt I do not have. Complete scam and not completely sure it's legal for them to send the info they are sending to my phone via text. Pretty personal info about someone I don't know.
It isn't! Neither phone, fax or email are legitimate proof, so obviously a text wouldn't be either. As per the FDCPA laws, they need to send it via USPS snail mail.
You can report this to the FBI via IC3, the cyber crimes division.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Received vm from this number stating they are notifying me of a pending withdrawal from my checking account and that I must call 469 708 8070 within 48 hrs. Jokes on them, I dont have a checking account! Definitely a scam!
