Received A call from this number about a payday loan I had. They informed me if I did not pay the amount of 787.52 they would file charges and have me arrested. When I confronted the gentlemen who gave me a name that was not the name on my voicemail he proceeded to tell me I had one hour to call friends and families to get the money. He then called me and idiot for thinking he was an attorney even though he identified his law firm as central processing and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to someone above him. That conversation went the same way. Has anyone gotten a call from this number?
I just received a call from the same number. While the person was talking I typed in the phone number and so happy that you posted the below comments. I think I stumped him when I said that he did not work for an attorney and that I want going to hang up on him.
I just got a call today from this POS. I keep getting calls for this ghetto ratchet person who had my number before me and he proceeded to insult me after I said I am not her! Stop calling me and remove me off your calling list, he's like do you even know who I am? I am a law firm, I said I don't give a care, and he's like you have an attitude bonehead rofl, really? I also called back stating I want to speak to his manager and he said he was the "manager." I am sooo annoyed right now and disgusted.
Lied and said they were a law enforcement agency looking for a exgirlfriend from 13 years ago and she had me listed as emergency contact. Which is a lie cause I know she has gotten married and had children. Has called me multiple time accusing me of not telling them the truth.
It's typical. They call you and threaten arrest to scare you. Bill collectors don't have the power of arrest. They have no law enforcement powers and cannot get warrants issued for anything, let alone an arrest. There's no crime in defaulting on a civil loan. We don't have debtor's prisons.There's no attorney's involved so far as I know and nobody is ever served as a result of these calls. Don't pick up on calls from these people or calls from numbers you don't recognize. Don't talk to 'em don't argue with them.
