Called about 5 minutes ago. I answered and I heard someone talking in the back and then he came on the line and said, "this is Alex with Cypress" and continued to ask if he had the correct name for the business I work for AFTER I had already stated our business's name when I answered. He then started talking very quickly and mumbling asking if our address is what they had on file and something about VISA. He then apologized for being so rude and not getting my name although that was in my statement when I answered the phone. Not professional, does not talk clearly I'm assuming so you'll just give information without question.
Callers are getting bolder...... Now going after businesses attempting to get information by saying 'Cypress Bank'! Is a "phishing" attempt scamming a Dallas, TX local # from Greece or another International country??????? Just saying............ If it appears as spam, IT IS!!!
Answered work phone caller asked if address was ... I said yes. They said thank you. Next day a man showed up to see owner he did not have a business card, said he wanted to see our credit card machine owner told him to leave and not come back. twenty minutes later the police show up and they said the man said owner shoved him out the door and choked him. Of course there were no marks. Cops said that guy was just released from prison seven year term for making drugs. We had to put a restraint against him. Scam they look at machine and hack it.
