This number called a business. I let it ring many times - hoping if I did so I'd finally get a human. It's an automated answering system that is meant to sound like a human. When asked how I was I stated, Suicidal. This call was for the pro-life committee. Are you pro-life, I'm asked. NO - didn't you just hear me, I'm suicidal? Machine said, Sorry about that and disconnected. I'm really not suicidal - it sounds childish, but I wanted to see how the computer I was speaking to handled it.
Said "Hello?" but there was a long delay, at least 8-10 seconds, before the caller's reply. This didn't change during the conversation. In addition to the delay, her spiel sounded disjointed, and it occurred to me it might be a scam, a pro-abort soliciting donations by pretending to be pro-life.
Then she asked for a donation. I am prolife, but when I asked the name of her organization, the name she gave sounded made-up, and not familiar. She then remarked quite smugly: " I know I'VE done all I can do to help this cause."
I hung up. I have local prolife groups I support, so I'm doing what I can do, too.
This number continually calls my home every couple of days usually around 7 to 8 PM in the evening sometimes the caller ID says unknown and sometimes the caller ID says Macon Georgia. They never leave a message and if I do pick up the phone immediately goes to an automated system that says please hold on a moment and then I hang up
