"• 479-877-3203 (Arkansas) ....Serco will make three attempts within seven days to contact you, leaving voicemails each time they are unsuccessful. If unsuccessful, a notice will be mailed to you that contains next steps for processing your application. There is no phone number you can call to contact Serco."
I got a call from this #.....funny story! They do not have my cell #.....They have my landline. They called me on my cell. The article also says that they will leave a message each time they are unsuccessful...they were unsuccessful and did not leave a message. I think they would have left a message if legit....that's just my thoughts tho....
It is a legit number. They leave a voice mail explaining that I needed to verify something for my healthcare. To call the 1-800-318-2596 which is the direct number to the marketplace or to visit the marketplace website to find out what I was missing in my application. They did not want me to call them back or anything like that. I know this is legit because I have also gotten letters saying I was missing something and talked to them last week.
Total scam! This # is in Arkansas and I live in Texas.I got a call from this number and he knew my name, the HMO I was covered under, and he proceeded to give me a list of things I needed to send to the Healthcare.gov at their legitimate mailing address, gave me their legitimate phone #, everything seemed legit. This was on July 24th. I started trying to find everything he said I needed and he told me to black out any account #s before I copied them... Well I had a total panic attack today because I had to go out and buy a wireless printer yesterday and tried to hook it up to my macbook today, was bawling my eyes out and called the real government number, told them what was going on, begged for an extension after August 1st. The lady got me calmed down and told me I was OK, my account didn't need to be updated until October 25th. She told me and I verified on the internet that this was some kind of scam. I read on another website that it was thought to be caused by fired or rogue employes from the Healthcare.gov site. That's how he knew my name and the Ins Policy that I had.
"The number may be valid, that DOES NOT mean the caller is. NEVER give out personal information on a call you did not make, from a number you got. DO NOT call back numbers left to you in a fax, email, text, or voice message.
Check the number first. CALLER ID SPOOFING (fake) IS TOO EASY TO DO."
The government Healthcare fraud alert page states that if they can't reach after three tries they'll send you a letter. That might be a better option than falling prey to a scammer faking the 479-877-3203 government number.
I also have been receiving calls from this number requesting paper work W2 pay stub SS #. Just received a call tonight at 9:15pm a man asking for this personal info told him sure ill mail it NOT........ He stated he was from Martket Place
They claim to be health care (obama care) and they need additional paperwork. Since I have mailed my paperwork to Obama Care three times because of their paper log jam, I knew this was a hoax. Like they would personally call me..really?
