got this call twice today, didn't know whose number it was. just looked it up because I was curious. the number DOES NOT show up when my phone rings, the caller space is blank.
Yup, get calls from this number 4 to 5 times a day... say "hello" or something, than hang up. Also call back from an INTERNATIONAL number of 25266403822 right after the (480) number.
These Indian/ASian guys are [***]. Don't give them any info and hang up asap. They will cuss at you and call at wierd hours. They will tell you they have a certified check for you.
A man calls and tells me I have won 2.5 million dollars, plus another $30,000 and a 2010 mercedes benz. And all we have to do is pay the taxes which come out to $1700.00. I ask him if he knows my last name-and he does, I ask him if he knows my address-and he does. Scary. He is very persistent and has called many times. FRAUD
I got a call 7:35pm Nov 10, 2010 from this number. Caller with a hispanic accent asked for my wife and knew our address. Caller said he was with UPS and they were trying to deliver $350,000 check that my wife won in a Wal-Mart contest. All I had to do was be home the next day at 3:30 and be ready to pay $350 to cover all handling and taxes. I laughed out loud and said "I don't think so, pal." At this point the caller made an obscene remark about my wife and hung up. I looked up this scam online and am entering this report, and have a call in to police right now.
Just received a call from this number - girl on the other end said she was calling from the loan modification department. When asked what loan she was trying to modify she gave my mailing address. Naturally no information was forthcoming from this end of the phone and when I began to tell her to remove the phone number from her calling list, she hung up. Nice.
