I received a call from this number tonight and when I tried to do a reverse lookup, nothing came up for the number 480-442-1940. I am on a do not call list as well. I refuse to answer phone calls if I don't know the number calling or if I suspect it to be a telemarketer. Out of curiousity I picked up the phone but said nothing. A man came on using my first name and when he wasn't getting a response he hung up. Next time that number calls me I am going to have a whistle handy and use it as loud as I can when I answer. Maybe a shock and sore eardrum may get the message across that I'm not interested!!
Is there anyone who has worked with the company that can say what the company is really about and its actual effects on income. I'm reading a lot of those who are getting calls, but haven't bought into the service to see if it truly is a scam or not. I've done some Home Based Business that people have sworn did not work, however, I've made over $75,000 in a year as a stay at home mother for these business, however, you do have to work at it...like any other job.
Many of you have feedback on it being a scam, but what is your basis or knowledge of how it is a scam?
"Thank you for calling Freedom, Merchant, Funding, and Web Medium. Please leave a message at the the end of the tone..blah blah blah"....I called the number back only after they left me a message after around the 15 time they'd called me and I hadn't answered. So. I left a message inquiring as to why I was being called; left my first name and number. I am curious as to who will be calling me back and what they have to say on their behalf for calling.
Mainly I'm curious to see if the same voice that was left on my voicemail is going to be the same voice that calls me back from the same number. I have a VERY good ear mind you. Yes, it sounded more like a prank phone call on my voicemail than anything.
I've received several calls in the past few days, asked to be removed from the list....but to no avail. So, I just filed a complaint with the Federal DNC. Just in case you're not familiar with the concept, this is how it works. You call, you get busted, and you can be fined thousands of dollars per violation.
So how's that career at Merchant Funding going? Thinking about doing a little Taco Bell side work to offset your expenses?????
Register your number on the Federal Do Not Call list.
Then file a complaint EVERY TIME one of these jokers calls you. And I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't care how busy I am during the day, the minute my PRIVATE NUMBER rings because of some idiot is calling me, I always have time to file a complaint. I've been doing this for about 10 months now, and you'd be surprised how quite my phone is these days.
If everyone did this faithfully, telemarketers would take it in the shorts so many times that they would be afraid to call anyone. Take the 60 seconds and file your complaint. Together we can make this stop.
Reply to Debara101, good idea using the whistle. I have heard that it works. I think I will try it. I don't seen anything childish about what you did by not saying anything. Keep it up.
