I have received threatening phone calls from steve anderson with us nati onal bank the federal crime division. They have harrassed me at my home and my work for 1 month now. They say their are going to download my file and take me to court,they have swore at me and my child. they even went as far as to read me my rights. i wanted to stop the calls though and almost did till i read this sight. they said it was a pay day loan from 2005. i also talked to james maxwell both with middle eastern accents they did sound like the same man though.they also called from phone number 214-618-5898 i am filing apolice report tonight.
they called for 2 days saying i owe on a payday loan from 2005. They will not
provide me with proof of this. Their telling me that i will have a criminal background if i don't resolve this matter. i have no record of this.
I also got a call from this number. They said I was being investigated for check fraud etc for not paying a loan and if I didn't take care of it right then, they would take legal action and then the guy made threatening comments like "I don't know what might happen to you next." I insisted that they send me a letter, and the guy refused. After talking with him for 15 minutes I finally told them to go ahead and take legal action. Then, he said he, and/or the police would be coming to my work to get me. I told him to quit calling. He then called my place of work and spoke to a manager and asked them if he could come and "Get me." Obviously, this is all scare tactics, but what a pain. Not sure what they're talking about.
I received calls in the last week stating I would be arrested, yet they would not provide any information regarding what they wanted, who they were working for, etc. I do not owe any money to anyone, yet they would not give any details, just name calling and harrassment. After repeated attempts to get information from the caller, I stated I would report them to the Attorney General's office. He quickly hung up on me and told me not to call back. Threatened that I would be seeing law enforcement very soon and that the phone line was being recorded and was plugged directly into the local courthouse.
I got a call at my office today from a man with a middle-eastern accent telling me his name was Jack Smith and that I owed a payday loan from early 2005. He did have an old bank account number of mine, but it's been closed for a while. Anyway he said things like he "would see me behind bars" and that he was "coming to get me". I hate to admit it, but I am terrified that he will call my employer and cause me embarassment (since I do NOT owe them money, that would be all, but still.....). I don't know what to do since he is calling a work number and I don't have caller I.D. here. I know it's a scam, but it is still scary.
I got a call at my office today from a man with a middle-eastern accent named Benny Archer he read an affidavit to me which I could not understand a work he was saying. He did say I had 3 outstanding payday loans from August of 2005. He did have my account number and social which is scary. However, I knew I did not have any outstanding payday loans so when I asked for proof via email or fax he would not give me that info. He forwarded my call to a Russell Crenshaw who had an accent as well and told me I owed 9,262 dollars but they could do an out of court retribution for 4350.62 but it had to be paid today or I would be going to jail. I told them I had no money and no outstanding loan so do what you have to do. It is still scary knowing someone has your personal information. Stated he was affiliated with the US National Bank.
