I got a call on my cell phone on Friday morning from 4842379538 , showing Pennsylvania and I did not answer it.I do not answer calls from numbers that I do not recognize.. I put it on my auto-reject list. I looked number up on internet and found out that it is a scam from India. I am on National Do Not Call List. I guess that I will have to register again.
I pressed "1" out of curiosity and the indian woman launched into a scripted lower your interest rates spiel. I asked her what company they were calling from and she kept talking. I asked again and she got angry saying " you don't qualify anyway, goodbye!" This is a scam. 484-237-9538 - I pressed 1 to speak to someone. They were unable to identify which exact card they were "offering to lower interest rates on" and listed a number of banks. I challenged them further, and the agent hung up without talking further. I called it back and used option 2 to opt out of future calls. Maybe this will work, maybe I just "signed up" for a shitload more calls from everyone.
I have been on the do not call list for just over 10 years now. I filed a complaint about this number. I always file complaints. Not sure what else Ican do, since these callers shield themselves so well from me harassing them back.
I also received a call from this number today and I'm thankful I didn't answer it. I will take your advice and report to the link you provided. Thanks.
