Wanted to speak to the credit manager about processing invoices. Whatever, I told him we weren't interested in his services and hung up. Based on what I've read here, my guess is that they'll call back, again and again. Don't catch me at a bored moment people, I will screw with you for fun.
Some guy called and acted as if we were "old friends". He said "I guess you don't remember me calling last week but I need to talk to Benny" When I told him we do not have anyone by that name he insisted he called another location and spoke with him. I again informed him there was no one by that name in our entire corporation and he kept insisting he spoke with him so I hung up. Hasn't called again - so far but I know he will.
Based on what other people are posting on here I have no idea why these idiots would be calling my home phone number. We do not and have never owned a business.
Caller said they wanted to speak to the manager or CFO who "deals with the Equifax account". Calls don't go through if they don't have the name of the person they want to talk to. Went round and round. Caller said "Well, I guess they'll get this bill then". Typical telemarketer parting shot: "You'll regret not cooperating with me..." Just reinforces the suspicion it's an unprofessional sales pitch.
There are several "Call Center Training Programs" out there where they train call center personnel these type of tactics. The training program claims it will get them customers. Unfortunately though, vague responses, unacceptable and impolite assertive behavior, rude snobbery, fowl language, repetitive vengeance calls, and misinformation doesn't allow me to transfer calls.
As for my involvement: It's too bad they didn't provide me with the information I politely asked for. If they had allowed me to do my job they would've gone straight to the party they were looking for.
I answered the phone and a young man with very loud rap music in the background asked to speak with the "Credit Manager", that is not a position we have and the owner of the business was in with a client. We do not extend credit to our clients, we are financial advisors and CPAs. We help them so that they DON'T need credit extended. I told him he was unavailable and he kept being persistent. Then I finally just said, "We're not interested." and hung up on him. 2 seconds later he calls me back and says, "Just returning the favor." and hangs up on me. Seriously? We are in the middle of tax season, clients are trying to call and I'm busy playing phone tag with this immature employee. I will be reporting this to the BBB. A word of advice, get an education and a real job.
