Wanted to speak to the credit manager about processing invoices. Whatever, I told him we weren't interested in his services and hung up. Based on what I've read here, my guess is that they'll call back, again and again. Don't catch me at a bored moment people, I will screw with you for fun.
Young lady called identifying her company as CSUS wanting to speak to our A/R group. However our A/R group only speak with our clients. This confused her. Meanwhile there was a party (music and noise makers) going on behind her and a loud "You go get 'em" before she quickly hung up without providing further information.
Abrupt woman claimed to be from Dun and Bradstreet asking to speak to our Credit Mgr. or Controller. When advised that my directory doesn't allow transfer via job positions/titles may I please have what the call is regarding too, she ignored the request and indicated she would get a name. While she looked I coached her and indicated that Dun and Bradstreet have a direct contact and they should not be coming through switchboard. By this time she found -a- name: "George". When asked George who, she said George the Controller. Leading me to ask which company she was attempting to reach. Her response "I'll just send the bill out then" and she hung up.
I'm guessing that rudeness is the soliciting flavor of the day?
BTW reverse look up indicates the number belongs to a company called Credit Safe. I wonder how the FCC feels about companies intentionally representing themselves
