Got a call today (March 18, 2014) from a lady claiming to be a volunteer to raise money to buy supplies for cancer patients . I was suspicious . Caller ID said NWCUA and the number was 503-207-0623. Wanted me to pledge for a donation. Had my husband's name. I said just send info in the mail ..but then she said that because the cards were "preprinted" with amounts, could I pledge to at least $10 and they would send me the information and pledge card. I said no, realizing it was likely a scam. Then I called back and there was no answer, no busy signal, nothing and I knew for sure that it was a fake number and a scam. Probably wanted to get my credit card number eventually! By the way, I was a cancer patient and NEVER heard of this organization. BEWARE!!!
They call several times a week. ID says, NWCUA. No one is there. When I call the number back it hangs up after one or two rings. How can I block them from calling my house?
