These guys are still at it (CID indicates Transcom Enhance) with a local Portland number - say there is a problem with my computer and they would be more then "helpful" with walking throught the steps with me. Broken English - pure scam. Click!
This man just called me about a Readers Digest subscription. He said that I had sent in a renewal and was going to be charged $119.90 for 2 years, but his department put the subscription on hold and is able to offer me a special rate of $29.90 for two years instead. He said my Visa card on file that starts with the number 4 will be charged. He got very angry when I questioned him and said "Fine write down this number $119.90. That's what you will be charged. I don't have time for anyone who is going to sit there and question that I am trying to help" and then he hung up on me.
This number called me, after repeating "hello, hello" several times, they finally hung up on me, I'm glad to see others have reported this number as well.
I recieved a fax from this number, the fax was a total scam. It was a junk fax that we get regularly looking to buy our business. The same scam company sends us messages through multiple numbers.
I company from India called me over and over from a private number claiming to be from google. I asked for their number so I could call them back and they gave me 1-888-294-2802. I searched that number and found out it was from a company named web oxygen that charged $100 bucks a month to put ads on google and yahoo and stuff. I called the number and asked to be placed on their do not call list. Half way through the call I was hung up on, but 2 minutes later the same person called back from the 503-227-1122 and said the web oxygen company signed us up for some trial without our confirmation but gave me a cancellation number and took me off his list and said we will be charged nothing. We will see.
