10:30 at night someone using that number called my home. when I tried to call back using *69 the report was the line is busy. 9:45am the same person called again making disgusting noises, I hung up they did not.
If its a hotline number the manager must not be in the room. I'm glad for this public forum, but will someone check further into them hiring children badly managed.
I have worked with this company before. And I have always been treated very well by them. I have made enough money from time to time with them to get me out of a jam. A good company, not a scam, and if they are just trying to fill a quota getting people in their system, give them a break, they are working stiffs just like the rest of us.
There seems to be some confusion about exactly who we are and what we do, this is totally understandable, and we understand how stressful unexpected calls can be for some folks.
We recruit people for paid research studies and focus groups in Portland, OR, and sometimes elsewhere depending on the nature of our project. 9 times out of 10, we're calling you because you either filled out one of our studies, or are in our database from previous studies / questionnaires. If we're cold calling you (rare) it's either a paid research project, or very rarely, a simple phone survey. The majority of our projects and calling campaigns culminate in attendance in a confidential, paid session at our Portland, OR office. All of our research pays an honorarium, the amount you'll be paid is dependent on the nature and duration of the project you're helping with, typically between $50 - $200
If we called you and didn't leave a message, it was most definitely part of a survey campaign which we do work on from time to time, and as such, you can safely ignore the calls if you're uninterested in helping out. Again, we are NEVER selling anything and have nothing to gain from our calls other than completing the research we've been contracted to perform.
Ultimately, there's nothing we can do to satisfy everyone's skepticism in regards to unsolicited calls, but I just want to re-iterate that we are never ever selling or marketing anything as part of our calling campaigns. As mentioned, all parties who work with us are paid an honorarium for their efforts, and our company does not make any of our income directly from our respondents.
I understand there are some of you who won't be satisfied by our explanation, and that is more than OK! People are entitled to their opinions and some people are of the opinion that all unsolicited calls are scams. We can't change that, but if you live in the area, it's a really good way to make extra spending money and help develop products, ideas, and events that shape the local area.
