FYI, charities, political organizations, telephone surveyors, and bill collectors are all exempt from the National Do Not Call Registry restrictions. The following information is copied from the NDNCR's File A Complaint page:
1) You may file a complaint if you received an unwanted call after your number was on the National Registry for 31 days.
2) You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).
*Reminder: Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company. Click Here: https://www.donotcall.gov/changeLang.aspx?returnpage=faqbusiness&lang=es-US for more information about the companies that may continue to call the numbers on the Registry.
Debt collectors may also continue to call you whether your number is on the Registry or not. If you have a complaint about a debt collector, please Click Here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en to file your complaint. Came up as Member Services. I'm keeping a spreadsheet of these #s & not only are many right in a row (telemarketers probably buy a block of numbers that are usually in sequence) but each number has a different name. One of the reasons they are doing this is because many people (like me) have anonymous call blocking (which worked for a while but now they bypass that by using dummy names). I block these calls but the next number in sequence then calls me w/a different name. You can report to the do not call registry but this has also become a joke. At first it scared these jacka$$es but once they found out absolutely nothing happens, the calls picked up again. I wonder if anybody has gotten fined. Also wonder what these people do all day except collect huge salaries.........our tax dollars at work.........so there isn't much you can do except keep on blocking them so they can use the next number in sequence.
Caller ID reads, Member services 503 457 1049. They also call from 206 496 0416. I never answers numbers or names I do not recognize. I hook up phone to fax machine. These people are all scammers.
