from 6 404 4693877 - man with Indian accent said he was from Bell - hung up and did no realize the area code was 404 u - my phone quit working right after - will reprot thsi number to my phone provider - going to reinstate no answer policy unless I know the number calling.
This was a REALLY busy call center, probably in Bangalor, claiming to be Windows Tech Support but likely just trying to connect remotely to my PC to install some hostage-ware. They were AMAZING - I had them on for 42 minutes - a new personal record that will be almost impossible to beat, although I'll keep trying. Even when he asked what I saw and I said "the Federal Trade Commission website", he didn't get it and kept going for another 15 minutes. Past when I told him I saw a picture of a large room with a bunch of goats on telephones, past when I actually mentioned the National DO-Not-Call Registry - Made my day! THANKS "Mark Wilson" from "Microsoft"! If you play this game, go along with them but DO NOT actually install any programs that they recommend. Have FUN!!
This Indian guy called me. I managed to keep him for a good 25 minutes before he hang up. I told him I am using my work computer and I work on the evening shift with my city's police service (not for real, of course). He is so dumb and gullible that he does not even get what I am trying to point out to him. He kept on talking to me and kept on telling me that he can help me fix my computer. He kept on asking me to download a software online but I kept on stalling him. I said for him to kindly stay on the line because I am currently doing a trace on the phone number that he's using. He still couldn't get it. He still stayed. HAHAHAHAHA. This made my day. He's got the lowest form of intelligence I have ever seen. If he thinks that Canadians are soft and gullible, like the Indian guy who tried to do a tax scam, well all I can say is Indians, particularly scamming Indians, are 100 times over. I have a lot of Indian officemates and I totally respect them; they're brilliant! But Indian scammers like this just makes me disrespect even my coworkers. What a shame.
