from 6 404 4693877 - man with Indian accent said he was from Bell - hung up and did no realize the area code was 404 u - my phone quit working right after - will reprot thsi number to my phone provider - going to reinstate no answer policy unless I know the number calling.
A man with an Indian accent, called and claimed to be from Windows. He said my computer was sending error messages. I called him right back and got a message that number was no longer in service. Interesting that that message which would have been from the phone company, had an Indian accent that sounded exactly like the so called Windows employee. And I was born at night, just not LAST NIGHT!
These folks spoof numbers and are scammers. Legitimate businesses actually do use the DNC list. Best to let the numbers go to voice mail, if they leave voice mail.
I've been getting calls trying the Microsoft scam on me for the past 10 years! No kidding, it's been that long. If there was really something wrong with my computer, it must be one hell of a machine to keep working for this long without problems that I could detect. They keep changing their phone number and ID nut the scammers just don't stop. Only thing to do is keep blocking them and hope their there's something to karma.
